If you're not embracing change you're embracing conformity and you should be very concerned. It's like you're walking barefoot on hot asphalt knowing and feeling the pain caused by the heat, but you're not changing your path, you're just suffering through it. God has given you a better mind than that! We live in a world of constant change, some good some bad. God has commanded that we are not to conform to this world, but we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind! Embracing change lets go of the "I've got something to prove" attitude. It's not about proving your abilities or intelligence, it's about developing them. You're not living to prove yourself as a person, you're living to develop yourself into the best person possible for Gods glory. Living the conformed life views failure and mistakes as a huge set back from what's trying to be proving. Embracing change develops a life that views failure and mistakes as an indicator of not pursuing things of true value, things that help you grow into the person you should be. It's not proving you're perfect, it's pursuing perfect development. It's not proving you're abilities, it's pursuing you're highest potential to use your abilities. How will you ever know where your abilities and effort can take you if all you do is live a life that constantly tries and prove them? Conformity holds you prisoner to your ultimate best for God and others. Embracing change allows you to accept the challenge to develop and grow in every area of life. Time to stop trying to prove our love, abilities, and knowledge. Time to embrace change and develop our love, abilities, and knowledge. You have nothing to prove, you have everything to develop. God says you are special, you're a masterpiece. Stop trying to prove it and develop what God has said!
What will you embrace this week?
