Is it the problem or is it the preparation that eats at you the most? May seem like a crazy question, so I'll explain. One thing I've learned in my years of living is nothing just happens. I believe there is a purpose and reason for everything, but that doesn't mean I understand everything, because Gods thoughts and ways are way beyond me. Being transformed by the renewing of my mind creates a radical way of thinking. So radical it processes what most call a problem, as preparation for Gods purpose to be completed. Thinking radically ask the question of how might this situation most see as a problem help advance the gospel in my life and the life of others. Paul illustrates this for us in Philippians 1:12-18. Paul makes a general statement; what's happened to me happened to advance the gospel. The word "advance" is a military term emphasizing to strike forward. It was used to describe an army of tree cutters that would clear a path for the fighting army to travel through. Paul said he was in chains because of Christ, chained to a guard 24/7. Paul didn't think of these chains being a problem, Paul saw them as preparation to advance the gospel, and advance the gospel he did. Think about it, who or what do you feel you're chained to today? Think about it, not problems but preparations, it's not freedom you need it's forgiveness you should give. Stop complaining and start communicating. It's about compassion not comfort. Paul declared what matters most is that the gospel advance. Living to advance the gospel in every circumstance and situation life presents, is one happy and radical life. So happy and so radical that it's not about who or what you're chained to, the purpose is who or what has be chained to you! "But the others preach about Christ for selfish and wrong reasons, wanting to make trouble for me in prison. But it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that in every way, whether for right or wrong reasons, they are preaching about Christ. So I am happy, and I will continue to be happy." (Philippians 1:17, 18 NCV) Think about it. For all the athletes out there, what you thought was a problem is really preparation for your purpose to become reality, don't run from it!
